UFO photographed over London - Great photo!

This just in from Telegraph in the UK. Quite an interesting image of a UFO which seems to be emanating light from one side. I get a kick out of the reference to the Wind Turbine debacle of a couple months back. I thought that was settled? Turbines DO fail on their own occasionally, wouldn't one expect? If my car spontaneously exploded should I also attribute that to sloppy alien navigation skills?

Incidentally, in over 600 hours of flying small planes, this intrepid blogger has yet to see a UFO. Grrrrrr.

UFO photographed over London

An amateur photographer has captured what appears to be an "uncanny" glowing disc hovering in the sky.

UFO spotted in Harrow: UFO photographed over London
Amateur photographer, Ahmad Zaigham, was stunned after capturing what appears to be a light-emitting flying disc in the evening sky Photo: INS NEWS AGENCY

Ahmad Zaigham photographed the unidentified object from his home in South Harrow, North West London.

Mr Zaigham, 30, said: "I was immersed in the TV programme when just by chance I saw this uncanny light in the sky and I was instantly mesmerised."

The computer engineer was able to take one shot of the object whilst it was stationary for a few seconds. He said: "Then it moved rapidly up and above at incredible speed, a comparable speed to a fighter jet at full power, so fast that panning the camera in the direction was impossible."

Mr Zaigham added the object made a "whistle kind of sound" and seemed to "quickly fade in light" after he took his picture. "The light coming from this thing is something I have never seen the like. I dont think any aircraft has a light like this," he said.

The sighting, which occured shortly before 8pm last Tuesday, follows suggestions that an unidentified flying object may have been responsible for damaging a wind turbine in Lincolnshire in January.

Mr Zaigham has said that he may pass the photograph onto NASA for further investigation.

That's intriguing. It really looks like it's emitting light. Of course, these things are always hard to verify in the days of Photoshop. I'd love to have seen it on video instead. I live in Arizona and I have never tried to see a UFO, but I have seen many here. The skies are always clear and there's something about this place that just seems to make it really easy to see them. I've seen a few in Sedona, which is a mecca for UFOs, but in South Phoenix (Phoenix lights area) they're pretty frequent and very very strange. I shake my head because I don't have a personal explanation yet, but I find them very peaceful and strangely comforting to see, like seeing an old friend you barely recognize.

I love Arizona. I filmed the Vatican Astronomer in Tuscon last August. Doing a show called Supernatural Investigator. And Arizona is a great place to fly. Big sky!!

This one looks like the ones where they take a fabric, put a slit in it and then shine a light through a hole. That's what I thought.

I'm with you on the UFO thing Michael. I've seen them certainly but not for many years.

I post a lot of UFO sightings however I do not find too many of them to be much of anything.

Off the topic a little - the Morristown hoaxers got fined today $250.00 a piece and 50 hours community service. Whoop-de-doo. :)

lol - I wonder if they anticipated that in their hoax budget.

That $250.00 is nothing in comparison to the bill that one of them will be getting in the mail from his attorney. They both hired one but Rudy's brother is a lawyer so he's pro bono. Russo will be looking at a grand at least - for attorney fees. yipppeeee!

Here's the story with pictures

Saw same shape object last night over Queens, NY (USA) at the north east few hours later moved to north west. Looked same oblong light, no light residue like the one on this photo has, seemed to rotate on its axes and move closer and further. Could it be satellite? It is on the opposite side of the moon where the planets started alignment some time ago, so what is it? It is not planet or star since it is moving, not a comet no tail, did not seem to be falling either just hovering closer further away and rotating. Not sure if it is related, but also accompanied by military helicopters hovering all night in the sky over the borough, at times going really low could see outside 2nd floor windows.
I can not find anything on military helicopters, why they were there all night through 5-6am in the morning, nor of the light oblong object seemed to be right outside of atmosphere close by the distance, and when seen relative to the passing plane, and stars. Does anyone know what was that?

I watched several 'orange' lights moving from the south in a northerly direction last night, 17th April 2010, around 10:30pm. The first time I became aware, there were 4 lights, slightly moving in a line but changing position up and down gradually which then disappeared as though a dimmer had been turned off! While videoing, one appeared to be turning towards me at some distance and then faded away. A few seconds later, more appeared from the same direction. Gave impression of Chinese balloons!
