About a year ago I released a film entitled, "Intruders: Abductees Speak Out!". It is currently airing in Canada on SPACE:theimaginationstation. The film, which looks at the alien abduction phenomenon, relies heavily on the research of Dr. David Jacobs, and Budd Hopkins. We follow four central characters who recount their own experiences of alleged alien abductions, while hearing from Jacobs and Hopkins, who comment on the phenomenon.
I first had the idea of doing this film after meeting Jacobs when I brought him to Canada in order to speak at my UFO HALIFAX conference in 2003. Jacobs, Chris Styles (Dark Object, The Shag Harbour UFO Incident author), and I had a long and fascinating conversation over Chinese food prior to the event, and I was able to ask detailed questions, and generally discuss the phenomena in a one-on-one scenario. I really enjoyed listening to Jacob's thoughts on his research, and the topic in general. One of the things that struck me about him was his unwavering conviction that we are the subjects of a systematic hybridization program by extra-terrestrials, and that there is a definite culmination point in the not too distant future, to these activities. It's rather chilling to contemplate, but nevertheless, I believe it should be pondered. I believe Jacobs to be a well considered and serious researcher, one who is not prone to fanatical viewpoints. I remember well his presentation at my conference, and hope to someday post an excerpt to this blog.
An interesting side story to the UFO Halifax conference revolves around the interest garnered by Raelians (cultists) who snooped in on our proceedings and even tried to camp out in Chris Style's apartment prior to the event. During our evening party at a local watering hole, two women who are Raelians tried to lure me into their fold through the use of their wily female charms, and even hauled out ink jet pictures of Rael's spaceships - allegedly the photos were provided by aliens who to my surprise possessed a very basic skill level in the arts of Photoshop. I remarked as such to the lovely lady I was talking to, and about that time Jacobs and Carl Feindt waltzed out of the bathroom to "interview" the Raelian space-babe. About 10 minutes later she and her friend left the bar in tears. Always felt kind of bad about that, but I suppose it should have been expected. I am sure Feindt and Jacobs were polite but firm in their convictions that she needed to rethink her views on extra-terrestrials. Meanwhile I continue to rethink my views on the same subject, and hope to make more films of the same ilk. I hope to put Intruders into general DVD distribution in the not too distant future. At least before the aliens take us over completely! Stay tuned, gentle readers!
Here is the synopsis for the film:

INTRUDERS presents an intimate portrait of self-proclaimed alien abductees who are coping with the daily turmoil of being regularly taken by entities not from this world. Are they simply mistaken or disturbed? Or are they - as some experts contend - unwitting participants in an ominous alien agenda?

I believe in abductions. My daughter claimed to me when she was a child she was being abducted and we had found a piece of strange smooth metal...like a long slim egg shape buried inside of her skin on side of her body. Once we removed it she stopped complaining about being abducted. Years later I lived in Winnipeg and went into a trance like sleep that I tried to fight off while this huge power line humming was going through my head. I could manage to wake for a few seconds seeing three aliens standing around me then I passed out again. When I awoke hours later Iwent to the neighbor to tell her what happened and she claimed as well she heard the power humming sound and couldn't wake up either. I do believe and wonder about the people who go missing never to be found again, no body nothing....are they the victims of aliens?
