Ackerman 000 - Forry says hi from the Grave?

Forrest J Ackerman 1916 - 2008
Forry's name is yet to be engraved on the plaque.
Los Angeles

This is a pretty weird story. This is no joke. Today Ian and I went to Forrest Lawn Cemetery to pay our respects to Forry Ackerman, who died Dec. 4. At the cemetery I did some filming at Forry's crypt. Whenever visiting him in real life at his old place on Russell street, I would knock on the screen door even if the main door was open. Today I decided to knock on his crypt door, much to Ian's chagrin. Afterward we went to The House of Pies (where Forry used to eat) and had lunch. Took some video and pictures of his booth and the general ambience. We drove to the old house on Russell street, and, there to our surprise, was Joe Moe. Forry's most excellent friend and helper. They were doing some cleaning in the house. We chatted a bit and agreed to meet at the Egyptian Theatre tomorrow before the tribute.

Next we took a ride on Mulholland Drive, before finally arriving at our hotel. When I sat down and logged into the computer, Facebook required the typical security typographical entry before letting me see my mail. To my total astonishment, the words I was prompted to type were, "Ackerman 000" I kid you not. I wish I took a picture, but I was sort of stunned by it, typed it in, and hit the enter key. Almost directly afterward, when Ian and I were discussing the possible meaning of the message, his computer responded to my word "Dead", with "Oh my Gosh! No Way!" in a weird childlike voice. There was no rhyme or reason for his or my computers to speak to us in that very Forry-like manner. The chances are billions to one.

I guess Forry's telling us that he believes in the afterlife now. That was just plain creepy! But in a nice sort of way.

Bizarre!

God Bless you Uncle Forry! Nice to have you around again.

That was trippy.

I for one am riddled with synchronistic events on a daily basis so I know where you're coming from.

Were they zeros or the capital letter "O"? If it were 'O's' you could come up with Of Obscure Origin, On Our Own, One On One, Out Of the Ordinary, and my favorite - Out of Options (stop laughing - he, he)

The only thing I can get out of triple zeros (000) would be Star Wars Republic Commando - called, Triple Zero.

It couldn't be Ackerman without a little sci fi in there right?

Oh bother, you have me looking at the word verification letters now before posting this comment. lol

That's totally cool, and totally poetic

Yes please go ahead and publish, if you like.

There's a video of our visit to the grave, complete with me knocking on the crypt.
